Why Does it make sense to use the Decentrix website solution for your Shopping Cart and Merchant Card Processing?
In order to reward your affiliates a percentage, (or fixed amount) of each sale, AffTrac needs to know at least three pieces of information.
- The amount of the sale
- The referring affiliate identification number
- he transaction ID so that you can reconcile the affiliate sales with your merchant credit card statement
This sales information can either be captured from your shopping cart (or ordering system) or from your merchant account, sometimes called a gateway. The idea is to catch the sale information AFTER it has been approved by your merchant account. This way, when AffTrac automatically posts the affiliate commission to the appropriate referring affiliate, you'll already know that the transaction was approved by your online merchant account.
